What if it is my child’s first time dancing?

Your child is more than welcome to come and dance with us. We provide all levels for all ages of children and will make sure that your child feels welcomed since we know that trying something new can be scary at first.

We offer a free class to all new students to the studio.

How do I use my free trial class?

The best way to go about this is to give us a call so that we can assist you. We will help you find the right fit for your child, and we can save a spot for your child to come try the class. When you arrive at the studio for the class, come to the front desk to sign in and provide your contact information. Please keep in mind that every new student receives one free class. (We are unable to provide one free class for each style.)

What are your classes like?

We offer fun dance classes for children and teens, but above all, we are focused on dance education. We strive to have classes that are nurturing, safe, encouraging, and challenging. We provide achievable goals for our students without sacrificing our strong emphasis on technique and form. All students learn dance skills, terminology, technique, and choreography. We are a recreational studio, but we also offer the chance for students to become a part of our Company. Our Company provides unique class opportunities and the chance to participate in a few competitions and other special events.

What is the cost?

The cost of a class depends on how many classes your child enrolls in.
Once you enrolled, our highest rate is $20 a class, please refer to our Rate page for more details.
Our billing cycle is called a Session, and it lasts four weeks. We also prorate for those starting in the middle of a Session.
Other costs to consider include the registration fee (once per year per family), dancewear and shoes, and costumes (if they do the show).

What if my child misses a class?

For each class that a student misses, he or she will receive one make-up class to use in any other class. Unlike most dance studios, we allow our students to do their make-ups anytime during the school year.
However, you must observe a few rules. Please refer to our make-up paragraph on the rate page.

What should my student wear?
It very much depends on the class, so we have an entire page of this website dedicated to answering this question.

How are your class levels set up?

Our classes are divided by both age groups and levels in order to meet the needs of all of our students. This set-up is represented with a label that contains a letter and a number. The number refers to the level, and the letter refers to the age group.
In order to find out your child's level, so please check out the key right below the schedule.
However, leave it to the professionals! We want all of our students to be in the right class for them, please ask us. We can have our staff assist you since they have decades of experience and will best be able to find the right fit for your child. We also utilize the free trial to assess the student, and we will be able to give you a list of recommended classes.

How do I register?
The easiest way to register is to email us. We will guide you through the process.
You can also check out the paragraph about registering on the Schedule page. Click
here.

Do you have a recital?

We have an annual Spring Show in May/June that is open to all students to participate in. We encourage each and every student to be a part of it as it offers the rewarding experience of working as part of a team, performing in front of a crowd and showing off all the hard work and dedication that they put into the class. We put our hearts and souls into making it a beautiful and professional production.

Where do I park?
We do have a small parking lot right in front of us studio. T
here is plenty of street parking by the studio as well, make sure to read the street signs as some of them are metered.

Is your studio dog-friendly?

As much as we LOVE dogs here at the studio, we, unfortunately, are unable to allow them inside. We need to be considerate to our dancers as some have severe allergies and some have Cynophobia (phobia of dogs). We thrive to make our studio comfortable for all of our dancers, so please be respectful and don't bring your furry friends inside. We, of course, welcome service animals, but in order to protect all of our dancers, we also ask that all service animals be kept close to your person at all times and in the very front lobby as much as possible.

What is the best way to reach the studio if I have more questions?
The best way to reach us is by emailing us at info@livartdance.com
We can also be reached by phone at 818-762-4222
